The future of our planet

You are worried when you read about global warming.

You are upset when you read about depleting resources…

You gasp when you read about polluted air…

It’s sad because the same technology which has brought us comforts has given us its side effects too

It’s worrying when each person thinks “what good can I, a single person, do? I won’t be able to change anything”

It’s confusing when you hear the scientists foretell the dismal future of our planet…

It's depressing when you think of the needless loss of lives in the name of peace

You feel helpless because you’ve messed up and left an inheritance which is worthless…

But there is hope...and where there is hope there is a future...and i would like to build on that....

Well written Suma .
Yes there is hope . And one should go ahead and do what one should do without waiting for others to join in . They say you take the first step and the rest will automatically follow .

As scientists, Otto and I know that that the catastrophe is near if nothing is done about it. But because we hope we work day after day on such answers are within our power.

There certainly is hope, and the doom-mongerers should remember it. It's not too late, and in any case, history has proved time and time again that our planet has a remarkable ability to cure itself.
